Tampa Catholic’s Kevin Knox headed to NBA All-Star Weekend

The former Kentucky star will play in the Feb. 15 Rising Stars Challenge

Former Tampa Catholic and Kentucky star Kevin Knox will make his NBA All-Star Weekend debut, playing in the Rising Stars Challenge at 9 p.m. Feb. 15 in Charlotte. The game will be televised on TNT.

Knox, a rookie with the New York Knicks, was added to the game in place of Lakers guard Lonzo Ball. The Rising Star Challenge features the NBA’s top rookies and second-year players in game featuring a U.S. vs. the World format.

Knox, a 6-foot-9 forward, averages 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists in 28 minutes per game for the 10-43 Knicks.

The NBA All-Star Game is set for 8 p.m. Feb. 17 on TNT.
