PONTE VEDRA ― Seminole’s Brittany Lincicome signed autographs and took pictures with kids from the Valdosta, Ga., First Tee program on Tuesday behind the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass. The course is the headquarters of First Tee and Lincicome is active in the Tampa Bay chapter.

She’s had an eventful year. She played on the PGA Tour in July. Earlier this year she announced that she was pregnant with her first child.

Her plan is to play the next two months or so before taking time off. She will play next week in the Bank of Hope Founder’s Cup in Phoenix.

“I asked a lot of players and they said that about six months is the stopping point," Lincicome said. “But I’m going to play as many as possible. Maybe stop after San Fran (LPGA Championship in early May). That doesn’t feel like it’s that far away."

Lincicome, 33, said she and her husband, Dewald Gouws, haven’t picked out a name yet and don’t know the gender. Her due date is Sept. 1.

Her plan is to get back on Tour when the baby is five or six months old. For now, she isn’t sure what to expect on the course. In her only event this season, she tied for 22nd at the Tournament of Champions in Orlando in January.

“No expectations at all," she said. “None. I could miss every cut or make every cut. That’s not the most important thing now."
