ANAHEIM, Calif. — C.J. Wilson won his third straight start, Mike Trout hit a leadoff homer in the first inning and the Angels roughed up Justin Verlander to win for the 10th time in 11 games. Trout ended the game by robbing Prince Fielder of a home run to centerfield on Garrett Richards' 3-and-2 pitch. Wilson pitched at least seven innings for the first time in 11 starts since July 13. He has won three straight for the first time since last September.
