Rumors abound that the New York Jets could be HBO's choice to feature on the next Hard Knocks, which follows an NFL team throughout training camp. The New York Daily News reports that HBO Sports chief Ross Greenburg sat next to Jets owner Woody Johnson and GM Mike Tannenbaum in Dallas last week for the Manny Pacquiao-Joshua Clottey fight.

Number of the day

5.4 million Entries in ESPN.com's men's NCAA Tournament bracket competition. That's up from last year's record participation of 5 million entries.

Bid of the day

Fox Sports president Ed Goren told Sports Business Daily that his network is "going to make a push'' to acquire rights for the 2014 Winter and 2016 Summer Olympics. But Goren also said Fox will not spend the $2 billion that NBC did to acquire rights to last month's Vancouver Olympics. Goren said, "What is the appropriate price? It doesn't seem to be the same price that NBC paid.''
