It was the last National League game in Houston for the Astros, who are moving to the AL West next season. The Cardinals had won 10 in a row over the Astros. Chris Carpenter took the loss in his second start since missing 150 games after right shoulder surgery. Jose Altuve homered on his first pitch of the fourth to make it 1-0.
