OAKLAND, Calif. — Doug Fister pitched seven innings and Jose Altuve continued his torrid hitting to lead the Astros. After losing three of his past four decisions, Fister allowed four hits, struck out five and walked two. The Athetics failed to advance a runner past second base against Fister. They moved just three runners into scoring position. Altuve is 12-for-17 in his past four games. Houston had lost three of four.
