OAKLAND, Calif. — Sonny Gray bounced back from two subpar outings after a few days working with pitching coach Curt Young on his delivery, and Brandon Moss hit a tiebreaking double in the fifth inning for the Athletics. Oakland (44-28) took over the best record in the majors. "Overall it was a pretty good outing," said Gray, who had won just two of eight starts. "I don't think there really is a difference other than I was able to make pitches. That's probably it."
