Big East tourney

Format: Double elimination

First round: Notre Dame (5) vs. St. John's (4), 10 a.m.; Cincinnati (8) vs. Louisville (1), 1 p.m.; UConn (6) vs. West Virginia (3), 5 p.m.; Pitt (7) vs. USF (2), 8 p.m.

Tickets: Daily — $8-$10 for adults, $4-$6 for youth, seniors and students; all-sessions — $32-$40 and $16-$24; (727) 467- 4457,

Notable: USF led the Big East much of the year, but Louisville swept the Bulls last week to earn the top seed. Louisville is the only team in the RPI top 60 and could be the only NCAA tourney team if it wins. A free opening ceremony at Bright House Field starts at 6 tonight and includes a home run derby. USF's Trey Manz (six HRs) will compete. The favorites are Louisville's Chris Dominguez (21) and Cincinnati's Mike Spina (22).

ACC tourney

Where: Durham, N.C.

Format: Two pools of four teams each play round-robin with the winners of each playing at 1 Sunday.

FSU schedule: Boston College — 4 p.m. Wed­nesday; Miami — 4 p.m. Thursday; Georgia Tech — noon Saturday.

SEC tourney

When/where: Wednesday-Sunday; Hoover, Ala.

Format: Double elimination

First round: Arkansas (7) vs. Florida (2), 10 a.m.; Georgia (6) vs. Ole Miss (3), 1:30 p.m.; Vanderbilt (8) vs. LSU (1), 5 p.m.; South Carolina (5) vs. Alabama (4), 8:30 p.m.
