Tampa Bay Rays 3B Evan Longoria won't play in All-Star Game

ST. LOUIS — Rays 3B Evan Longoria won't play in tonight's All-Star Game due to a finger infection. Longoria, who was to be the first All-Star starter in Rays history, will be replaced on the AL roster by the Angels Chone Figgins (of Brandon).Texas' Michael Young will start at third. The Rays say the injury is not serious and Longoria is expected to be ready when the Rays resume play on Friday. The infection is on his right ring finger. He had it drained and was treated with antibiotics on Monday.
