ALCS Game 7 (if necessary): Rays-Red Sox pitching matchup

Today's pitching matchup
Matt Garza, RHP, Rays Jon Lester, LHP, Red Sox
11-9, 3.70 16-6, 3.21
1-1, 4.50 1-1, 1.83
6-4, 205 6-2, 190
24 24
What's new
Garza is coming off an impressive performance against the Red Sox in Game 3, outdueling Jon Lester at Fenway by giving up just one earned run in six innings of a 9-1 win. He primarily used his fastball, which was particularly sharp. Lester struggled in his Game 3 start, giving up five runs (two homers) and eight hits in just 52/3 innings. Before that outing, the left-hander had pitched 14 innings in the postseason without giving up an earned run.
Scouting report
Garza throws a slider, changeup and curveball, but he's at his best when he has command of his fastball, which can reach 94-97 mph and come at a downward angle. Often works off his fastball, which reaches the mid 90s, and uses a curveball, slider and changeup (mid 80s). Very tough on left-handed hitters.
