Rays: RHP Wade Davis (8-9, 4.32)

Yankees: RHP Phil Hughes (12-3, 4.04)

Watch for ...

Wading in: Davis has been on a roll, having won his last three starts, giving up two earned runs or fewer in each of the outings. He will be making his fourth career appearance against the Yankees and is 1-2 with a 4.86 ERA against them.

Going deep: Hughes has won two of his last three, but hasn't lasted longer than 5 1/3 innings in his last two outings. He has fared well on the road this year, going 5-1 with a 2.36 ERA in seven starts.

Helping hands

The Rays will host a fundraiser this weekend at Tropicana Field to support their RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) youth teams in St. Petersburg and Tampa. Tonight through Sunday, fans can purchase RBI-branded beads for $5 with all proceeds benefiting RBI Baseball. Proceeds from select food and merchandise items also will be donated to RBI.
