Dandy Andy: Rays starter Andy Sonnanstine will try to tie the club record for wins in a season (14), set by Rolando Arrojo in 1998. In his last five starts, Sonnanstine is 3-0 with a 3.48 ERA. Against the Orioles, Sonnanstine is 2-2 with a 5.70 ERA.

Rookie steps in: Orioles rookie LHP Chris Waters takes the place of RHP Daniel Cabrera (suspended by MLB for throwing at Alex Rodriguez). Waters has won just once since his dazzling debut (eight innings of one-hit ball against the Angels on Aug. 5).
