Staff predictions

Marc Topkin

rays in 6

Homefield is a huge advantage for the Rays. So after they steal one game in Boston, they can wrap it up at the Trop.

John Romano

Red Sox in 7

I have underestimated the Rays every step of the way. Why mess with a good thing now?

Gary Shelton

Rays in 6

There are a lot of things about the Red Sox to worry a young team. The thing is the Rays don't seem to get worried. Homefield should tip things their way.

Joe Smith

Rays in 7

In a series likely filled with late-inning dramatics, the Rays hold the trump card of homefield advantage. And that will be just enough for their dream season to continue.

Brant James

Red Sox in 7

The defending world champions' only tangible advantage is playoff experience. That won't rattle the Rays, but it will be enough to steal the finale.

Dave Scheiber

Rays in 7

The Rays, buoyed by their recent success over the Red Sox, keep the magic alive with a combination of strong pitching, clutch hitting throughout the lineup and homefield advantage.

Jay - So what you are saying is that the Rays "Fans" that have moved out of Florida need to move back if they want to still cheer for their Rays? Works both ways. People can live where ever they want and still root for whatever team they want! GO SOX

I believe the Rays in 6, but if it goes to 7 we could be in trouble. In game 7, the potential matchup is Garza v Lester. Lester is a big-game pitcher and best in the rotation, while Garza is inconsistent and lets his nerves get to him. GO RAYS!!!!!

You guys are forgetting that this is October. The Sox just destroyed a 100 game winning team. Easily. Rays will be punished badly.

Nice, way to support.

Hey John and Brant... Why not just say Red Sox in 4? Time to move to New England, eh? Remember where you live, tools!
