There was a point in the second inning when things could have gotten away from LHP Blake Snell after an error allowed the Sox a run, but he showed his maturity and improved ability to move on, getting out of the inning with no further damage.

Manager Kevin Cash puts SS Adeiny Hechavarria in pretty good company by calling him the Kevin Kiermaier of their infield because of how he makes hard plays look easy. That certainly looked the case on Friday, as he had a hand in 10 outs.

Besides being a leader in the clubhouse, 1B Logan Morrison is getting hot again at a good time, his Friday homer his fifth in a five-game span. "Yeah, he's loud," Cash said. "Hopefully his bat continues to be as loud as his mouth."
