King of the road
Rays manager Joe Maddon is spending the spring living in his 40-foot Tiffin Phaeton RV at an area site, but he's not exactly roughing it. It is equipped with satellite radio, satellite TV, two beds, 1½ baths, washer/dryer, dishwasher and four pullouts for extra space. He brought it over to Charlotte Sports Park to let others take a look. "It's kind of like a nice suite in a hotel," Maddon said. "But it feels like home."
Nickname of the day
Maddon calls his RV the "Cousin Eddie" in reference to the character in the Vacation movies. "I want to get that painted on the side," he said.

"I probably would have told them to buy a Lotto ticket or something. I didn't think I had too much of a chance to be back."
