Rays: Maddon hates pewter, ready to take on review

No gray matter

Rays manager Joe Maddon gets asked about all kinds of things, and Friday it was the new Bucs uniforms. Maddon diplomatically said he preferred the original orange scheme and revealed a previously undisclosed bias: "I'm not into pewter. I'm antipewter. Pewter shouldn't even be a color. It should be some form of a decorative bowl on your table."

Quote of the day

"I could've got kicked out if they had changed that one."

Manager Joe Maddon, on the ninth-inning call at first base that was reviewed
