Show and tell

Luke Scott on Saturday brought in a 7-foot Zulu spear he said was used to kill the boar that is now mounted on his locker. It is one of his favorite weapons. "Definitely one of my gamers," he said.

Cover boys

The Rays went with their three award-winning pitchers on the cover of their media guide, which came out Saturday: Jeremy Hellickson, who got the Gold Glove; David Price, who got the American League Cy Young Award; and Fernando Rodney, who got comeback player of the year. The guide will be available for purchase during the season.

Longoria's child heads home

Rays 3B Evan Longoria posted on Twitter on Saturday night that his daughter, Elle, born six weeks early on Feb. 20, was released from the hospital. "Elle finally came home tonight!" Longoria wrote. "Thank you everyone! Now we look forward to seeing you all at the Trop!"

Who is this Ray?

He started his career as an infielder. Hit two grand slams in a Florida State League game, then two more homers the next day. Spent 10 years in the Cubs organization.
