Rays' Molina deal likely $4.5 million over two years

Molina deal: $4.5M over 2 years

The Rays' deal to bring back catcher Jose Molina is set to be finalized this week, and when it is officially announced in the next few days, expect it to be for $4.5 million over two years. Molina is expected to get $1.75 million in 2014 (a slight pay cut from 2013, when he made $1.8 million) and then $2.75 million in 2015. Molina is expected to take a physical Monday or Tuesday, and once that is complete, the deal is expected to be official. Molina, 38, is projected to share playing time with Jose Lobaton.
