>>Fast facts

Blue Jays

What's new: There are still aftershocks from Sunday's decision to release disgruntled DH Frank Thomas, with Matt Stairs taking over as DH and C Robinson Diaz taking the open roster spot. 3B Scott Rolen is in Florida but rehabbing a broken finger with Class A Dunedin. Closer B.J. Ryan is back after missing most of last season because of surgery.

Key stat: As a Ray last year, RHP Shawn Camp was 0-3, 7.20 and allowed 84 baserunners in 40 innings.

Connections: Jays RHP Jesse Litsch is a former Rays batboy and Pinellas Park native, and Camp is an ex-Ray. Rays LHP Trever Miller and INF/OF Eric Hinske are ex-Jays.

Series history: Jays lead 92-75; Rays lead 42-40 at home.
