Trading places

OF Brandon Guyer was excited to be sticking around for the trip to Baltimore. But not quite as much when he realized his wife, Washington, D.C. sportscaster Lindsay Murphy, was leaving to cover Game 7 of the Capitals-Rangers hockey playoff. "It's kind of funny because Lindsay is coming (to New York today) and Saturday for the Rangers game and I'm leaving here and going back home," he said. "It's weird how that works out."

Funny guys

OF Matt Joyce, left, said heard plenty from relatives, friends and teammates about his "debacle," falling down in the batter's box after twisting his ankle while hitting a three-run homer. The best, he said, was this Twitter post from LHP David Price: I hope everyone saw @sweetswingin20 tonight!!! The homer was fantastic but that dismount was pathetic!!! hahaha my head hurts from laughing
