Rays manager Joe Maddon will soon be moving into a new house in Tampa that has some interesting Tampa Bay coaching history. It was formerly owned by the Bucs' first coach, the late John McKay.

Maddon plans to pay homage to McKay, not with a cigar or a floppy white hat, but with a framed presentation of one of his most famous quotes: Asked about the execution of his wayward team, McKay replied, "I'm in favor it."

Said Maddon: "I want to put that up somewhere in the house — prominently."
