By now, Rays fans know of manager Joe Maddon's love of fine wine, his penchant for rocking stylish retro eyeglasses, his themed road trips, his mom's great sandwiches and his gift in motivating and succeeding with teams that have far less expensive payrolls than his nemesis competitors (Yankees, Red Sox) in the American League East division.
