Basketball preview: Florida at Kentucky

No. 11 Florida at Kentucky

When/where: Noon; Rupp Arena, Lexington, Ky.

TV/radio: Ch. 10; 1250-AM

Records: Florida 24-5, 14-3 SEC; Kentucky 20-10, 11-6

Notable: The regular-season finale finds the two teams at opposite ends of the spectrum. Florida clinched the SEC regular-season title outright by beating Vandy on Wednesday, while Kentucky is coming off a loss at Georgia on Thursday and fighting for an NCAA Tournament bid. UF routed Kentucky on Feb. 12 in Gainesville, when UK star F Nerlens Noel sustained a season-ending ACL injury. It was a costly loss. The Wildcats are 3-3 since Noel went down, and have lost road games to Tennessee, Arkansas and Georgia by an average of nearly 18 points. Florida is 3-13 vs. UK on the road under Billy Donovan, with its last win at Rupp coming in 2007.
