Basketball preview: FSU at North Carolina

. Today

FSU at North Carolina

When/where: 2; Smith Center, Chapel Hill, N.C.

TV/radio: Ch. 10; 1040-AM

Records: FSU 15-13, 7-8 ACC; UNC 20-8, 10-5

Notable: The Tar Heels have won four in a row, are 18th in the RPI rankings and are nearly a sure thing for an at-large NCAA Tournament berth. The Seminoles have lost four of six and will have to settle for the NIT at best, barring a deep run in the ACC Tournament. … UNC is 4-1 since coach Roy Williams switched to a smaller, guard-heavy lineup. The Heels have been outrebounded in that stretch and have struggled defending the 3-pointer, but they've also forced 14 or more turnovers in each of the five games.
