College basketball: ACC tournament

.FAST FACTS

ACC tournament

When/where: Today-Sunday; Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum

What to expect: Duke is 18-0 with 6-foot-11 Ryan Kelly in the lineup, and having him back after he missed two months with an injury makes the second-ranked Blue Devils a favorite. Miami is the top-seeded team behind 6-11 Kenny Kadji and All-ACC first-teamer Shane Larkin. Florida State won the tournament title last year but has struggled some this season. The Seminoles are led by Michael Snaer, who has hit winning shots in the final five seconds of four games this season.

Dark horse: It's rare for North Carolina (21-8, 11-5) to be considered a dark horse, but the Tar Heels had some struggles. Still, third-seeded North Carolina has won five in a row and could go on a run to the title.

    The Heater

MINNEAPOLIS — While the Rays made some good defensive plays, threw a couple of big pitches when they needed to and got a few, and just a few, key hits, there were some obvious things they did wrong that led to them losing Saturday's game to the Twins 5-3:

Rays reliever Tommy Hunter says the Twins’ tiebreaking homer came on a pitch that was “close to where I wanted it.”
  5. Rays journal: Steven Souza Jr. laughing right along after comical dive

    The Heater

    MINNEAPOLIS — Souza being Souza.
