Notable: The Seminoles are coming off a 66-61 victory over No. 1 Duke on Wednesday. During a players-only meeting before that game, G Derwin Kitchen was encouraged to take more shots. He scored a season-high 22 and had 10 rebounds. "They were just telling me … I need to be aggressive and stop trying to be a pass-first point guard and just be a guard," Kitchen told the Orlando Sentinel. … FSU's All-America candidate, junior F Chris Singleton, has scored at least 17 points in each of the past five games and is averaging 21 points since Dec. 23. … The Wolfpack is led by F Scott Wood, who averages 10.8 points. As a team, N.C. State averages 74 points, hitting 46.3 percent of its shots from the field.
