College basketball preview: Central Florida Knights at Florida State Seminoles, 7 p.m. Monday

Records: UCF 1-0, FSU 1-0

Notable: The Seminoles and Knights faced off eight times in the 1980s, with FSU winning all eight, but they haven't met since 1988. … After the 23-year break, the teams could meet twice in a month, with a potential matchup in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament starting Nov. 23. … Both teams opened with wins. FSU, coming off a Sweet 16 run, beat Jacksonville 79-67 Friday, with 10 players contributing at least one point and one rebound. UCF beat Saint Thomas 74-61 Saturday; only three players from last year's Knights saw playing time. … One UCF player has suited up against the Seminoles: Redshirt sophomore Tristan Spurlock spent his freshman year at Virginia and played five minutes against FSU.
