College basketball preview: Florida Gators at UCF Knights

Records: Florida 5-1; UCF 5-0

Notable: Florida will face UCF in the first collegiate event at the $380 million Amway Arena in a matchup between longtime friends and former colleagues Billy Donovan and Donnie Jones, a Florida assistant from 1996 to 2007. Donovan is 5-1 against his former assistants, and the Gators lead the series 9-0. … The Knights are 5-0 for the first time since 2006-07, led by junior Marcus Jordan, right, who is averaging a team-high 16.8 ppg. … Through five games, Jones' team is averaging more than 85 points and shooting better than 55 percent from the field. "He's going to do a great job and has done a great job," Donovan said of Jones. "He's got his team off to a great start."

  3. Bucs raise prices for single tickets to marquee games


    The Bucs will have single-game tickets for 2017 home games on sale July 28, with a new wrinkle: the best games will cost more for fans.
