College basketball preview: Florida Gators men at No. 18 LSU

Tonight: Florida at No. 18 LSU

When/where: 9; Pete Maravich Assembly Center, Baton Rouge, La.

TV/radio: ESPN; 1250-AM

Records: UF 21-6, 8-4 SEC; LSU 23-4, 11-1

Notable: The Gators will play the only ranked team in the SEC tonight, and recent history isn't on their side. LSU has won five of the past seven meetings, including two in a row. … Florida is 4-0 against the SEC West this season. … With LSU leading the league in rebounding, the Gators' oft-maligned frontcourt will have to raise its level of play. If the Gators can have a shooting night like they had against Vandy on Saturday, things fall more in their favor. … In their eight SEC wins, the Gators are averaging 9.9 3-pointers and 83.1 points.
