College basketball preview: Florida Gators vs. Morehead State Eagles

Today: No. 9 Florida vs. Morehead State

When/where: 3:30; O'Connell Center, Gainesville

TV/radio: Sun Sports; 970-AM

Records: Florida 3-1; Morehead State 2-1

Notable: Coming off a 50-point win over North Carolina A&T, the Gators shouldn't expect to repeat that against Morehead State. The Eagles, 24-11 overall and 15-3 in the Ohio Valley last season, return all five starters, including OVC preseason player of the year Kenneth Faried. The senior forward is the nation's top returning rebounder. … UF's win over A&T was a nice bounceback from a disappointing loss to No. 4 Ohio State. Against A&T, eight Gators scored in double figures, their most in nearly 10 years, and UF dished out 26 assists, its most since November 2008. … UF coach Billy Donovan is 5-0 in games against OVC teams. The Gators are 6-1 overall. … The teams split their previous two meetings, with UF winning the most recent 117-70 on Dec. 22, 1998.
