College basketball preview: Florida State Seminoles vs. Clemson

TONIGHT

FSU vs. Clemson

When/where: 6:15; Donald L. Tucker Center, Tallahassee

TV/radio: FSN; 1040-AM

Records: Clemson 5-3; FSU 6-2

Notable: The Seminoles come off a weeklong break to open their ACC schedule against a Tigers team that was picked to finish near the bottom of the conference but that also beat them twice last season. Clemson guard Andre Young scored a career-high 19 in one game and hit the go-ahead 3-pointer in the other. … FSU snapped a two-game skid Dec. 5 with a 60-38 win over Hartford, but star forward Chris Singleton's offensive slump continued. He shot 2-of-6 from the floor for eight points against the Hawks and is 6-of-27 over his past three games. … Demontez Stitt leads the Tigers with 13.3 ppg. Young is in the ACC's top 10 in 3-point percentage (third, 44.2), 3-pointers per game (sixth, 2.4) and steals per game (fourth, 1.8).
