Records: FSU 18-7, 6-5 ACC; Virginia 14-9, 5-5

Notable: The Seminoles, chasing their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance, avoided what would have been a costly loss Sunday with a strong second half in a 62-47 win over Boston College. They have an RPI of 43. … The Cavaliers have faded from the NCAA picture with three straight losses, falling 85-66 at Maryland on Monday in a makeup of a snowed-out game. … Virginia is the ACC's lowest-scoring team with 68.8 points per game; FSU has the league's second-best scoring defense at 61.2 ppg. … FSU guard Michael Snaer was named ACC rookie of the week last week after averaging 14 points in two games.
