College basketball preview: No. 11 Florida Gators vs. Georgia Bulldogs

No. 11 Florida vs. Georgia

When/where: 7; O'Connell Center, Gainesville

TV/radio: BHSN (taped, 10 p.m.); 1250-AM

Records: Georgia 6-7, Florida 10-2

Notable: In their SEC opener, the Gators could be without starting senior F Erik Murphy. Tests on Monday revealed Murphy has a broken rib on his left side, and his status is questionable. … The good news for UF is that senior G Kenny Boynton may be on the way back to his old self after hitting eight 3-pointers in Sunday's win over Yale, which made him the school's all-time 3-point leader. … The Bulldogs are on a four-game winning streak and are holding opponents to 29.8 percent from 3-point range, the third-best 3-point defense in the SEC.
