College basketball preview: No. 14 Florida Gators vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

.Tonight

No. 14 Florida

vs. Alabama

When/where: 7; Stephen C. O'Connell Center, Gainesville

TV/radio: ESPNU; 620-AM

Records: Alabama 19-9, 11-3 SEC; Florida 22-6, 11-3

Notable: Florida had its six-game winning streak snapped at Kentucky on Saturday but has still won 14 of 17. A win tonight would secure at least a share of the overall SEC championship for the Gators, who have already clinched a No. 1 seed in the SEC Tournament. … Alabama struggled early but has its best SEC record since 2001-02 and has won 14 of 17, with only six foes scoring more than 60 during that stretch. The Tide leads the SEC in scoring defense (59.9) and has yet to be outscored in the paint. … UF is 13-3 at home this season and 4-1 against the SEC West.
