Leading the way is 6-foot-8 Herb Pope, getting 17.5 points and 10.8 rebounds per game; 6-6 guard Fuquan Edwin had 28 points in the team's 94-73 win against DePaul. One of the Pirates' two losses was at No. 1 Syracuse .…The Pirates won at home against USF last season. The last time the teams met in Tampa, the Bulls won 76-74 in overtime in 2010. USF needs solid post play from its three-player rotation of Augustus Gilchrist, Toarlyn Fitzpatrick and Ron Anderson.
