College basketball preview: USF Bulls vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

USF vs. No. 8 Notre Dame

When/where: Noon; Sun Dome, Tampa

TV/radio: Ch. 28; 620-AM

Records: USF 8-17, 2-10 Big East; Notre Dame 20-4, 9-3

Notable: The Bulls are coming off a 59-58 loss to Marquette in which USF blew a 16-point second-half lead. "It stung," coach Stan Heath said. USF continued its struggles in finishing games. It has played many close ones this season, including a 65-62 loss to Notre Dame earlier this season. Notre Dame, behind only 10-1 Pitt in the Big East, is a senior-laden team led by G Ben Hansbrough (17.5 points per game).
