Florida vs. Arkansas preview

. Today

No. 5 Florida vs. Arkansas

When/where: 7 p.m.; O'Connell Center, Gainesville

TV/radio: ESPNU; 620-AM

Records: Florida 21-4, 11-2 SEC; Arkansas 17-9, 8-5

Notable: Because of quirks in the SEC schedule with two added teams, this is the first time Arkansas and Florida have met twice in the regular season. Arkansas arrives 18 days after handing the Gators their first defeat in the SEC this season, 80-69. With five games left in the regular season, the Gators hold a one-game lead in the SEC standings. While Florida has struggled away from the O'Connell Center, it is undefeated (12-0) at home. On the flip side, Arkansas is 2-5 on the road in conference play. The Razorbacks have the nation's No. 27 scoring offense (75.5 ppg), while the Gators rank No. 3 in the nation in scoring defense (53.0).

  3. Koetter: Jameis Winston will test shoulder in practice Friday

Will he? Won't he? It appears the Bucs' uncertainty over whether quarterback Jameis Winston can play through a shoulder injury Sunday at Buffalo will carry up until the final hours before kickoff.

Jameis Winston didn't throw at practice Wednesday.
  4. Fennelly: Even frustrated Bucs fans hold out hope

Many fans wrote back when I threw out an all-points the other day, asking if Bucs fans are perpetually in a state of expecting the worst.

  5. Bucs snapper Garrison Sanborn looking forward to return to Bills

Throughout his eight seasons with the Bills, whenever former players would come to Buffalo for a game, Garrison Sanborn remembers the place to take them for a reunion dinner was a popular Italian …
