Game preview: Florida Gators vs. No. 6 Kansas State Wildcats

Florida vs. No. 6 Kansas State

When/where: 3:30; BankAtlantic Center, Sunrise

TV/radio: FSN; 620-AM

Records: Florida 7-2, Kansas State 9-1

Notable: This is the teams' first meeting. The Gators make their 10th appearance in 11 years at the Orange Bowl Classic, an annual doubleheader in South Florida in which they are 7-2. The Wildcats' only loss this season is to No. 1 Duke. They return five players with starting experience from last season's Elite Eight team, including G Jacob Pullen, the Big 12 preseason player of the year and who leads them in scoring. The Gators haven't played since Dec. 9. Sophomore G Kenny Boynton (Pompano Beach) expects a large crowd of family and friends. "It's going to be a good experience," he said. "You want to go home and play in front of your family, to have a good game and a great team to play like Kansas State. I couldn't ask for anything more."
