Notable: The Seminoles play their first game in California since the 1988 NCAA Tournament; they lost 102-98 to Iowa in the first round at the L.A. Sports Arena. In three December games, all wins, FSU has allowed an average of 56.7 points and a combined 30.9 percent shooting from the field. It enters first in the nation in field-goal percentage defense at 32.5. Junior F Chris Singleton leads FSU in scoring, averaging 14.2 points per game, and rebounding (7.9). The Lions have allowed an average 65.4 points per game. Junior F Drew Viney leads them in scoring (15.3) and rebounding (7.4).
