Wisconsin's Traevon Jackson is scheduled to have surgery Thursday on his reportedly broken right foot, depriving the seventh-ranked Badgers of their veteran point guard in Big Ten play.

The team said he will begin rehab in two or three weeks, but did not specify when he might return to the court. Jackson said he was looking forward to finishing off the year.

Coach Bo Ryan relies on Jackson to take big shots late in close games. He was averaging 9.4 points and 2.9 assists.

Sophomore Bronson Koenig becomes the starter when Nebraska visits Thursday.

Syracuse: Freshman forward Chris McCullough is out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Polls: After two OT wins, Kentucky received 63 of 65 votes in the AP poll, ending a run of five straight weeks as unanimous No. 1. Virginia got two No. 1 votes. No. 25 Wyoming makes its first appearance in nearly 27 years. In the women's rankings, South Carolina and UConn remained No. 1 and No. 2. They play Feb. 9. South Carolina visits UF at 7 Jan. 19 (SEC Network); UConn hosts USF at 1 Sunday (ESPN2).
