Men's college basketball preview: USF Bulls vs. Connecticut Huskies

USF vs. Connecticut

When/where: 2; Sun Dome, Tampa

TV/radio: BHSN; 1250-AM

Records: USF 18-11, 8-9 Big East; UConn 17-13, 7-10

Notable: A big game between two Big East teams on the NCAA bubble. … It's the final home game for four Bulls seniors, but watch out for junior G Dominique Jones, the only player in the nation averaging 20 points, six rebounds and three assists. … UConn is 2-6 on the road in the Big East, but the Huskies have plenty of big scorers: 6-4 G Jerome Dyson leads the way with 18.2 points per game, but 6-9 F Stanley Robinson is getting 15.2 points and 6-1 G Kemba Walker 14.8. After winning three straight, including upsets against Villanova and West Virginia, the Huskies have lost two close games to Louisville and Notre Dame. … A win will make USF the eighth or ninth seed in next week's Big East tournament, while a loss will have the Bulls seeded 10th, 11th or 12th.
