South Florida Bulls men's basketball preview: at DePaul

USF at DePaul

When/where: 2; Allstate Arena, Chicago

Radio: 1250-AM

Records: USF 5-9, 0-2 Big East; DePaul 8-8, 0-3

Notable: The Big East has only five teams winless in league play, so this might be USF's best chance at a road victory in the conference this season. These are the Big East's two worst teams in scoring margin, shooting percentage and free-throw percentage. … The Bulls have one league road win in their first three seasons in the Big East — they will need improved shooting from guards Dominique Jones (16.6 points per game) and Jesus Verdejo (15). Center B.J. Ajayi, who averaged 2.5 points in nonconference play, has averaged 11.5 in two Big East games, along with seven rebounds in both games. … DePaul is led by 6-4 forward Dar Tucker (19.5 points) and 6-10 center Mac Koshwal (14.1 points and 11.3 rebounds). … The Bulls have three straight games on the road and won't return to Tampa between games at Pittsburgh and West Virginia next week.
