USF Bulls vs. Maryland-Eastern Shore college basketball preview

Tonight

USF vs. Maryland-Eastern Shore

When/where: 7:30; Sun Dome, Tampa

Radio: 98.7-FM, 1010-AM

Records: USF 0-1, Maryland-Eastern Shore 0-3

Notable: USF seeks to bounce back from an 18-point season-opening home loss to UCF. … Maryland-Eastern Shore should help. The Hawks went 7-23 last season, and this season's losses include by 15 points to Houston Baptist in Hawaii. Maryland-Eastern Shore is shooting just 33 percent from the field and 19 percent on 3-pointers. Only 6-foot-2 G Kyree Jones averages double digits in points (17). … USF fans should see more of 7-3 C Jordan Omogbehin, who had just a cameo in the opener. And look for senior G Jawanza Poland to start after scoring a team-best 22 off the bench against UCF. … This opens a stretch of three games in three days for USF. It hosts Loyola-Chicago at 7:30 Saturday and Western Michigan at 3 Sunday.
