Records: USF 17-7, 6-5 Big East; Louisville 21-5, 9-3

Notable: USF nearly beat the Cardinals in Tampa, losing 78-75 as Louisville guard Shoni Schimmel went off for 38 points. Containing her is a good starting point for the Bulls, though Louisville is 13-1 at home, its loss 48-47 to now-No. 8 Kentucky. … USF's leading scorer, Andrea Smith, has struggled with foul trouble and inconsistency, seeing her scoring average drop to 16 points in conference play. … Guard Inga Orekhova, averaging 13.6 in Big East games, was named to the conference's weekly honor roll. … USF's RPI dropped from 68 to 77 this week after a home loss to St. John's, so the Bulls need a big upset in the final five regular-season games to get back on the NCAA Tournament radar.
