Women's college basketball preview: USF Bulls vs. North Florida

USF vs. North Florida

When/where: 2; Sun Dome, Tampa

TV/radio: BHSN; 1010-AM

Records: UNF 1-6; USF 5-4

Notable: USF hasn't played since losing to top-ranked Connecticut last week, and this isn't too comparable, though UNF lost by only three at Florida. … The Ospreys have a pair of locals in PG Jade Givens (Jefferson) and C Larkira Jones (Gibbs), but their top scorer is G Brittany Kirkland at 15.1 ppg. … USF plays five games in the next nine days and will get a boost Saturday with the addition of transfer PG Sasha Bernard. So far, the only consistent scorer has been G Andrea Smith (17.8 ppg). … With a strong week, the Bulls can head into the holiday break with momentum, gearing up for Big East play in January.
