Jones-Dalton duo lethal for Bengals
CINCINNATI — Marvin Jones usually tosses his receiver gloves into the stands on his way to the locker room, a way of letting fans share in the moment.
Not this time.
Jones caught a team-record four of Andy Dalton's career-high five touchdown passes as the Bengals drubbed the Jets.
"I'm keeping those," said Jones, who also had career highs with eight catches for 122 yards. "I'll frame 'em or whatever."
Jones, in his second year out of Cal, had scoring catches of 9, 6, 17 and 6 yards. Randy Moss and Terrell Owens were the last with four TD catches, in 2007.
The Jets' Geno Smith had two interceptions returned for TDs.
New York next faces Drew Brees and the Saints. "If we don't play better … that guy will break every record known to man against us," Jets coach Rex Ryan said.
