The surrogate
It begins with a woman who yearns for a baby and another who is willing and able to give her one. You can imagine the motives of the prospective parents. But what about the woman willing to carry a baby, give birth and then walk away?
Friday Night Rewind It doesn't matter which team you cheer for. We've got video previews of every high school football program in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando County.
Who: Jeff Lacy vs. Epifanio Mendoza, super-middleweights.
When: 10 tonight at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon, Calif.
TV: ESPN2. St. Petersburg middleweight Winky Wright will be doing commentary on the broadcast.
Outlook: It is the first fight for St. Petersburg's Lacy since returning to trainer Roger Bloodworth, who guided the super-middleweight to his first 15 victories. Lacy (23-1, 17 knockouts) is still working his way back from 2007 shoulder surgery, beating Peter Manfredo in December but not looking as impressive as he would have liked. If he wins tonight, his adviser, Jim Wilkes, said a deal is in place to meet 2000 Olympic teammate Jermain Taylor later this year or in early 2009. Mendoza (28-5-1, 24 KOs) was knocked out by light heavyweight champ Chad Dawson in his last fight in September, but has a first-round knockout win over Rubin Williams (who Lacy knocked out in seven rounds).
