Florida Boxing Hall of Fame

What: 2010 induction

When/where: 11:30 a.m. Sunday; Crown Plaza, 5303 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa

Skinny: Twenty inductees, including Muhammad Ali, will be honored in a ceremony open to the public. Others expected to attend include promoters Don King and Phil Alessi, trainer Dan Birmingham, women's boxing pioneer Barbara Buttrick, ring announcer Bob Alexander, radio personality James "Smitty" Smith and former world contenders Gomeo Brennan and Frankie Otero. Along with the late Mike Birmingham, special awards will be presented to Tampa attorney Steve Yerrid and former BankUnited president Ramiro Ortiz.

Other events: Memorabilia show, autograph sessions, book signings and fist castings, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, at the Plaza. Tickets $5 advance, $10 at door. Tonight, a dinner and silent auction, with registration at 6:30 p.m. Cost for the dinner is $85, and tickets must be purchased in advance. Sunday, breakfast with the inductees, 8:30 to 10 a.m. ($20 advance only).
