CHICAGO — Yadier Molina hit a two-run, two-out single in the ninth, and the Cardinals snapped out of an offensive funk. The defending NL champions had lost four of five to fall a game below .500. St. Louis scored all its runs with two outs. The Cubs were trying to win four in a row for the first time since July.
