What to watch for: Which Tom Savage will show up for Rutgers (8-4) — the freshman quarterback who threw two interceptions in the first eight games or the one who threw four in the past three? … Rutgers' best player might be cornerback and special teams ace Devin McCourty, who led the team with 78 tackles and returned a kickoff for a touchdown, and who is dangerous on blocked kicks. … UCF (8-4) got six interceptions from cornerback Josh Robinson, a true freshman. … It's a homecoming of sorts for Rutgers defensive end Jonathan Freeny, a Tampa native who finished his high school career at Coconut Creek but still considers Tampa home. Freeny has a team-best 8.5 sacks. …The top pass rusher in the game might be UCF junior Bruce Miller, the Conference USA defensive player of the year, who has 12 sacks.
Bowl shuttle: Red Trolleys will provide free shuttle service between downtown St. Petersburg and Tropicana Field from 6 p.m. until one hour after the game is over. Go to stpetetrolley.com for a list of stops.
